Project and Programme Management

You are here: Home / Services / Project and Programme Management

Project management

The key for each successful project is obviously solid project management, but not only project management. Also the environment has to be prepared for upcoming changes. A good project manager manages also the involved parties in the environment (stakeholders).

Projects will involve technics, content and organisation. Projects can only be managed well if the project manager has knowledge of the content, the organisation, upcoming changes and off course technical possibilities. RHO Leading in change has long term experience with complex project and management.
Project Management is all about controlling projects. It is the way you organise, prepare, execute and complete the projects. Project Management includes directing project leads and controlling all sub-projects, project leads will take care of managing the team leaders.

RHO Leading in change uses the standard methodology Prince2/Agile but is also well trained in other methodologies like AgilePM, Scrum, PMBOK etc. Using the methodology used in your company will be no problem.

Programme Management

Programme Management is the method to use by executing change in complex situations with a great impact on existing organisations. It will cover changes with a lot of uncertainty and risks but with clear alignment to the company’s strategy.

Multiple hierarchical activities and projects in a organisation with a lot of interactive relations and dependencies with the environment, will make that managing change will ask a lot of effort from existing hierarchy and management.

Programme Management will add value in situation if:

  • There is unclearness about company goals (example in extreme dynamic or turbulent environments);
  • Changes will have major impact on key processes in the company whilst continuity is key;
  • Many risks occur related to implementation of the charges;
  • Multiple interdependent activities and process are needed to implement changes;

A well-managed programme will achieve targets via a consistent network of activities and projects. Managed in a well understood network. A programme aims at organisational targets at longer whilst the activities and projects aim at concrete results in shorter term.
